Description
The AMT 487 Series is a line of 4in self-priming, cast iron centrifugal pumps, with stainless steel impellers and Buna-N mechanical seals, check valves, and O-rings. They are designed for a range of high capacity applications including dewatering, liquid transfer, circulation, drainage, and irrigation. The dual volute design reduces radial load on the motor. The centerline discharge feature prevents vapor binding and aids in piping connections.
These pumps are designed to handle liquids with solids content or dissolved solids and debris. All models are fitted with a self-cleaning, semi-open stainless steel impeller, which can handle 1/2in diameter of semi-solids. The built-in check valves provide fast priming and are standard on all units. Additionally, the fill and drain plugs allow for easy installation and servicing.
