The Neptune High-Pressure Injection Quill is used to inject chemicals pumped by metering pumps into the turbulent flow zone of high-pressure water or steam lines.

For lines smaller than a 4in diameter, the quill should be trimmed so the chemical is released near the center of the line. Use as-is for lines over a 4in diameter.

The quill should be installed with the "Telltale" V-notch facing upstream so flow strikes are angled with the face at the end of the quill, for the most rapid dispersal of the injected chemical.

For ease of maintenance, it is recommended to install an isolation valve, rated above line operating pressure, immediately behind the quill.
