Description

The March Pumps Series 7 Centrifugal Pump with Air Motor eliminates the need for a shaft seal and can be serviced with an adjustable wrench. To install the air motor, first install a moisture trap, filter, and an automatic airline lubricator in the air line just ahead of the air motor, using detergent SAE #10 automotive engine oil. Note that the pump is not self-priming and lacks a suction lift, requiring a flooded suction. The pump cannot be run dry as the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. The direction of motor rotation should be clockwise when facing the inlet of the pump. For liquids with a specific gravity greater than water, a higher viscosity, or for elevated temperatures, a trimmed impeller may be necessary. The pump is capable of handling mildly or highly corrosive chemicals, acids, and solvents.
