The March Pumps Series 8 High Flow Centrifugal Pump is ideal for applications such as chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, and scrubber systems. The pump eliminates the need for a shaft seal, and is serviceable with an adjustable wrench. The pump is not self-priming and lacks a suction lift, and thus requires a flooded suction. The pump cannot be run dry as the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. For liquids with a specific gravity greater than water, a higher viscosity, or for elevated temperatures, a trimmed impeller may be necessary. The motor is totally enclosed, fan-cooled, U.L. listed, and rated for continuous duty.
