The March Pumps Series 809 Hydronic Centrifugal Pump with DC Motor is a slow speed pump built to handle liquid transfer in heating and cooling operations. The pump is not self-priming and lacks a suction lift, and thus requires a flooded suction. The pump cannot be run dry. The motor is a brush DC in 12 or 24V, with a positive red lead and negative black lead. The pump is composed of a wet end assembly that can be separated by unscrewing the housing screws. The rear housing and shaft are stainless steel, and the front housing comes in a choice of polysulfone, bronze, or stainless steel.
