Continental Pump Company Progressive Cavity Pumps
Continental Pump progressive cavity pumps, also known as eccentric screw pumps, are a type of rotary positive displacement pump. They are widely used for pumping various fluids, including viscous materials, slurries, and materials with suspended solids. The operating principle of a Continental progressive cavity pump involves the use of a helical rotor and a double-threaded helical stator. The rotor, which is a metal helix, fits into the stator, which is a rubber-lined helical cavity. As the rotor rotates within the stator, it creates a series of sealed cavities that progress from the suction to the discharge end of the pump.
