The Power-Flo Technologies PFG Series Grinder Pump is submersible and designed to reduce domestic, commercial, institutional, and light industrial sewage to a finely ground slurry. The pump is composed of a dynamically balanced, 12-vane, ISO G6.3, cast iron vortex impeller with pump out vanes on the back side, and stainless steel shaft, hardware, shredding ring, and cutter. The motor is composed of Class F insulation, is oil-filled, and uses squirrel cage induction. The motor is available as either a single phase or three phase. The single phase motor uses a capacitor start / capacitor run, and requires a starter or a control panel that includes the capacitors; overload protection is included in the single phase motor. The three phase is a dual voltage 230/460, and requires overload protection in the control panel.

The seal leak sensor is a two probe design, normally open (N/O) sensor that requires a relay in the control panel (included in PF panels). The temperature sensor is normally closed (NC), and requires a relay in the control panel (included in PF panels).
