Magnetic Drive Pumps
Magnetic drive pumps, also called sealless or magnetically coupled pumps, are a type of centrifugal or positive displacement pump that uses powerful magnetic fields to couple the pump shaft to the impeller instead of a mechanical shaft seal. Magnetic drive pump's sealless design eliminates a common leak path through a shaft seal by using synchronous magnetic coupling. Pumped fluid is fully contained and isolated from the atmosphere and pump bearings/motor. These pumps are suitable for handling hazardous, toxic, volatile or ultra-pure liquids where emissions/contamination cannot be tolerated. Double magnet designs allow higher temperatures and prevent slippage.
