End Suction/Straight Pumps
End suction pumps, also known as straight pumps, are a type of centrifugal pump design characterized by the placement of the impeller at the end of the pump casing. These pumps are widely used in various industries due to their simplicity, versatility, and cost-effectiveness. In an end suction pump, the impeller is mounted on the end of the shaft, which is supported by bearings housed in the pump casing. The suction and discharge nozzles are located on the same side of the casing, creating a straight flow path through the pump. End suction pumps are commonly used in water supply systems, heating and cooling systems, industrial processes, chemical plants, and many other applications where clean, non-abrasive liquids need to be pumped.
